 We have been in a passionate pursuit of following Jesus in the Word of God
 John 3:30 is trying to become flesh in our lives
 We must decrease so Christ can increase in our lives
 We started this month full of our selves, but now we are ending this month with less of us and more of Him
Jesus this itinerant preacher walked up and down the Judean hillsides preaching healing everywhere and the ones He healed and saved didn’t put Him on the cross, but His accusers were those of His own field
 They hung Jesus on the cross, and the devil thought he won, but little did he know about the resurrection
 This Jesus that the disciples had gave their lives for, left everything, had just died and though distraught…
 Sunday was still coming, Jesus burst forth from the tomb, and God gave Him an exit sign written in red called the blood
 Jesus put 1 foot on the crumbling empire of death and the other on hell and the grave lifted His hands to the father and declared to be the Son of God with Power
 He declared all power in Heaven and Earth is given to me, I am the alpha and the omega the beginning and the ending and what you call the end is just the beginning
Acts 1 He leaves again …why stand you here gazing…
Acts 2 the HS comes and the Church is born… it wasn’t the end of anything, but the beginning of the dispensation of the fullness of times, dispensation of grace, the church age,
 Now the curtain is not coming down on humanity in 2012, but the curtain came down on the law when Jesus died when the curtain was ripped from the top to the bottom, that way no one could say that man did it,
 But Jesus is about to rise in all His glory with you and I, He is about to take center stage and every eye will behold Him, and col 1:27 Christ in you the hope of glory will be revealed to spill the glory into all the earth so all the earth shall be filled with the Glory of the Lord!
I want to encourage you this morning not to give up
If you have regained a sense of return back to God during this month through the Word then good.
Because He wants to lead you in His way, don’t draw back, but keep going in your spiritual exercises and disciplines to the Lord.
But you must do it His way.
Isa 55:6-13 KJV
 It’s not a statement of unbelief from God to us, but a plea
 I want your thoughts to become my thoughts, I want your ways to become my ways
 Moses and David both said Lord show me your glory, show me your ways, not only the way you operate, but the next course of events, so I can go there too, and lead others.
Isa 2:3 says that He will teach us His ways
 God’s way is the right way, the only way, Jesus said, I am the way, His Word is the way
The power of His Word will always fulfill the Promise of His Word
Faith is developed by hearing the Word of God Rms 10:17 AND receiving it wholeheartedly and humbly and fruitfulness is the guaranteed by-product. Salvation, healing, provision whatever…
 God’s Word cannot be barren or fruitless, His own life power is within it.
Don’t give up, but let go
Isa 56:1 His salvation is about to come, righteousness to be revealed
Vs 4 choose what pleases Him
V 5 I will give you a place and a name better than sons and daughters, an everlasting name
What God titles or names He is prophesying His commitment to change it into that the thing that He said!
V 7 He is going to bring you to His Holy Mountain, and make you joyful in the house of prayer
 He is going to bring you to the place you need to be His way, not yours, and make you joyful, that would help a lot of our faces!
Isa 55:12-13 12For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
 Surrender your ways to His because for all your pain, and trouble His is going to make you joyful
Happiness depends on our happenings, but He is just going to make you joyful, just like He made you male or female, your gonna be happy and like it, true joy.
Ex: God don’t you want me to lead?
 It’s so hard to let go, we take too much on ourselves
 Yes He wants you to lead, just lead His way, not your way.
 You go through the tests for a testimony
In leading God’s way it’s a Theocracy=God is King, your decision making process is suspended until the new product info is uploaded to you.
 God’s people do things God’s way.
 Wickedness disqualifies you from leading
 The one who seeks to benefit himself at the expense of others is on the path to self destruction
God judges leaders not on how much they accomplish, but on whether or not they do things His way.
3 things you must have to do things God’s way

 In order for the Word to become flesh in you, the Word must come to you.

 How many people have home exercise equipment?
 How many would say that you use it, other than a bookshelf, and coat rack.
 Richard Simmons back in the day used to be a fitness guru.
 That’s when it was still pretty girly to workout to a fitness video or show.
 Now we have Tony Horton’s P90X Extreme Fitness Programs, designed to get you ripped.
 One of the great reasons for a starting a Bible reading process that is pretty extreme is to develop a new sensitivity to the Word of God.
 I can’t go through the whole year reading as much as I am, but it is there to jumpstart my year
 Ex: if your car battery dies and you are out and stranded the first request that you will have for anyone is for a jump, just to get a spark, just to get the car to fire
 That what an extreme Bible process will do for you as you begin to hear from God, hopefully you become more like Him and less of yourself
 Another extreme diet program to follow for a short period of time is the Atkins plan.
 Atkins removes all carbs out of your diet.
 It will make you want to kill your grandmother for a piece of bread!
 Cool thing about atkins is that meat is safe-bacon.
Ex: now for me the greatest snare to me is not drugs, alcohol, adultery or pornography, but noodles. Pasta. I like Pasta with Meatsauce, or without, with white wine sauce, or the favorite trinity of food, butter salt and cheese. I will take Pasta anyway I can get it.
Normally a plate of pasta with Meatsauce gets me started and then I have a second helping just for taste without sauce, and butter salt and cheese. But if it’s not in front of me I won’t eat it.
Sometimes an extreme lifes problems require extreme means for survival.
 Jumpstart your desire for the Word of God. New way of living
Stats
 You could read the whole New Testament through in one month by spending 30 min per/day
 Avg person in America watches 4 hours of TV p/day=120 hours p/mo
 At that rate you could read the whole NT thru 7 ½ times in a month
 30 min of Bible reading p/day still leaves you with 104 min of TV for the month
Bible reading is for your spiritual training, discipleship and personal relationship with Jesus
 Christian Cardio for the spiritual resistance that you get all week
 It’s hard work following Jesus and keeping up with Him
 No easy way to know Him, no lipo or gastric bypass for attaining scriptural knowledge
 Make a commitment to know God through His Word
 You need to be very skeptical of someone who supposedly is always hearing from what they think is God, and you ask them how much they have been in the Word and they can’t even quote John 3:16
 Jesus reveals Himself through the written pages of scripture
Ex: I used to be big into body building when I was in highschool and early college, 4% bodyfat, big and ripped
Body builders are only big just for show, so some other guys can look at them while that pose and look at their gluteous maximus.
I don’t do this for show or to be a poser, but to drive back the lies of the enemy, bring healing to my body, prosperity to my family and salvation to my soul!
 Im not here for everyone to look at me and say wow look at his spiritual strength and look at how much Dan know’s,
 I am here for John 3:30 that says I must decrease so He can increase
4 Purposes of the Word of God
1. The Word of God is the only offensive weapon to win the fight of faith
 It is written-Jesus wielded a weapon against Satan, the Word of God to sabatoge every attempt of the enemy
 Offensive strategy-Know the Word
 Every time the Devil opens His mouth you open God’s Word
 The Word is a weapon to win the war-Know the Word
Hebrews 4:12 (King James Version)
12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Eph 6-7 pieces of artillery in our arsenal that cause you to triumph this fight of faith
 This is not a parade , this life is a war a fight and the devil doesn’t want to see you win,
 The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, every other piece is defensive , the sword is dangerous to the enemy.
 You lose if you don’t know the Word, don’t go to battle with just your shoes, and your helmet, can’t win with a shield, but you can with a sword.
 No armor for the back, because you swing a sword moving forward
2. Program your Paradigms with the Purpose of God

3. Know the Whole Counsel of God
 Know what God says so you can be what He wants you to be
 Don’t just be salad bar Christians/readers,
 When it comes to lifting weights, the worst thing is bad form
 Ex: on stairmaster boys workout with me and lift, trying to teach them form so they donn’t hurt themselves, no cheating!!!
 Good form-understanding God’s word, so you don’t miss what is being said,
 Understand the context of the day it was written, what is being said to you today, and how that applies to you and to others
 Word becomes flesh by you comprehending the Word, meaning, context for then and for you today. Break it down!
 Everything must line up with the Word! If God supposedly said something to your best friend but can’t find evidence in scripture to back it up, then she’s wrong! God doesn’t contradict Himself
4. Nothing can stop the Word of God
 Acts Word of God spread rapidly-turbocharged by others following the Word
 Acts 8 Word spread in Samaria, Acts 10 to Roman Centurion, Turkey, Greece, Rome itself
 It hasn’t stopped for 2000 years
 Word of God is alive living and powerful, not bound, viral, and will spread to every part of you
 It will awaken the dormant the dreams in you, Word of God is like having a personal trainer
 It will get the laziness out of your flesh,
 Prioritize the Word of God, to program your paradigms of life
You are in the fight of your life pick up your sword of the Spirit and win this fight

Titled my message today: You are what you eat.
 Some of us spiritually feed on fast food diet, which is mainly Sunday’s only, but others might snack through the week, maybe a scripture or 2, or tbn or just something quick, it’s easier.
 But when Christ returns will he find faith on the earth? ( Lu 18:8)
 Many of us don’t partake of Christ.
 We go through the motions, and let somebody else sing, somebody else produce words to a song and watch it on powerpoint and listen to what someone else got from God all week
 I don’t want a church that is weak anemic barely getting by church
 I want our church to be strong because the people are strong, they’ve been in prayer and the Word,
 Dan 11:32 the people that know their God shall be strong and do exploits
 The church is strong because God has sent the corn, the wine, the oil
 The people are strong, God has sent the rain
John 6:63 my Words are spirit and they are life
 Ex: Super Size Me, gained 30-40 lbs in one month and took him 1 ½ years to work it off
 Losing weight is not easy, as Jesus cleans house in our temple, it is not just what is there that can be harmful, but what keeps coming in that clutters your ability to live, or distract you from your present purpose.
 Can’t stop a bird from flying over your head, but you can keep it from making a nest in your hair.
 Ex: I really enjoy Macdonalds from time to time…or how about a whopper with cheese?
McDonalds Facts…
 After you eat that food you feel like slitting your wrists after about 30min
 Spiritually we starving ourselves from the quality of spiritual meat that only Jesus can give
 John 4:32 I have meat to eat that you don’t know about
 Please tell me about it.
 John 16:12 you can’t handle it right now. Not ready
If we were to receive exactly what we are asking from God, it could potentially destroy us because we are not ready for it
Ex: everybody is talking about colon cleansing, John Wayne when he died, it was said that he had 40-50 lbs of fecal matter that had accumulated over time, they removed it from him.
Detox
One of the ways that we can detox is John 3:30

 God wants to re-boot you and allow new product to come from you.
 You have a responsibility to submit to that process

 What does your spiritual diet look like or where does it lack?

Lose the junk that Jesus hates, and invest into our spiritual life in ways that are congruent to lifestyle that promotes spiritual health.
Premise
Isaiah 56:7
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

13And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
14And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
We love baby Jesus
• Manger scene is only scene of Jesus that some people ever see
• Take him where you want, cute cuddly, easy to carry
• Definitely Holy night, but not silent night
• Lays down his sweet head?, no crying he makes.
• Bloody, in a barn, to a teenager that told everybody that it was God’s baby.
We have baby Jesus mentality, like good luck charm
But so many other scenes of Jesus
So many of us delete the other scenes of Jesus in our lives, and concoct our own image of God.
Live like Hell, but still have Jesus in our heart.
 One of the scenes of Jesus…
 John the Baptist said look Behold the Lamb of God that takes the sin of the world
 Time for you to see Jesus for who He is…
 Jn 1:14 the Word became flesh and we beheld His Glory.
 We must see Him, his glory, his direction
But what about the Jesus that can’t stand the religious tradition?
What about the Jesus that turns over the tables of greed, creates cords and whips and drives out the tradition of man.
Jesus walks in temple and sees religious leaders taking advantage of the people
John 2:13-16, 23-25 KJV
People would travel for days and weeks to come offer their sacrifices, so they would have to leave their animals at home for sacrifice and buy and animal at the going rate at the temple so they didn’t have to care for an animal on their journey
So some opportunists came along and started gouging the people financially at the cost of their sacrifice that they had to have, and therefore turned the temple into a den of thieves
It made Jesus angry
And he didn’t pray for them, but flipped over tables and makes a whip out of cords and started violently driving these hypocrites out of the temple.
Out of his Father’s house
 Jesus resembles the terminator in this scene more than Mr. Rodgers
 We think Jesus is always brushing the hair of the lamb, with a nice haircut and highlights singing kum-by-yah
 And frolicking thru fields with children
This Jesus is cleaning house
 The incarnate son of God became infuriated by the injustice that He saw
 He is the same Jesus today infuriated by injustice
 And He will set all things right when He comes to establish His Kingdom
 Jesus absolutely cannot tolerate our religious hypocrisy
 When we make the house of God something it’s not suppose to be.
If you’re here this morning and you say that you hate hypocrisy and you hate how some Christians say that they love God, but don’t live a life that reflects their love for God than you are among good company
Jesus feels the same way
Have you seen that Jesus, the Jesus that refuses to allow the purposes of God to be perverted
Hypocrisy happens when you use God to achieve your own religious ambition
Have you scene that Jesus?
What about the cute cuddly Jesus. We want that one back, the one where we can put a na-na, (pacifier) in His mouth and snuff out the cries of the Son of God.
Repent for Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
We have religious junk to lose
1. How we think it should be
2. Sins
3. The sin of not being a God-seeker- James 4:6-10 (KJV) draw near

The challenge this morning is to do nothing
If a tornado comes and knocks your house down, you don’t just clean up, but you rebuild at the rate you clean up.
Meaning the faster you clean the mess up, the sooner you can order new product to rebuild the house.
